thanks so much:

  •      Canned green beans, corn, pork and beans, red kidney beans, and pinto beans;  we also need sugar, all-purpose flour, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and shampoo.
  •       You may drop off items at 101 N. Ridgeway Avenue, Black Mountain, NC.”

Susan Murty shares:

“You are invited to attend a presentation about sanctuary Wednesday June 21 at 3:30 PM in the Assembly Room at Highland Farms.  Bill Ramsey will talk about the sanctuary movement and the work being done to organize sanctuary in western North Carolina. He has been working with congregations throughout the region who are interested in supporting sanctuary for undocumented immigrants who are at risk of detention and deportation.  Our Friends Meeting has expressed support for the effort.”
