Nashville Friends Meeting invites you to our Regional Gathering on March 5. We will have a keynote presentation (tbd) in addition to the opportunity to learn about the variety of Friendly groups, workshops, and spiritual education available to Monthly Meetings and Worship Groups in our SAYMA region.
Examples of some of the groups and topics that will be introduced:
Between Us: A Couple Enrichment workshop-by Mark Wutka & Mary Linda McKinney;
Alternatives to Violence-NFM AVP leader;
Friends Talk/Friends Listen — a listening project formed in NFM;
Burrow Breadbreaking & Bible Bites: How we were led to clean our house and cook for 20 people every single week-by Mark & Mary Linda, Southern Appalachian Young Friends (SAYF);
Adult Ed topics including: eldering, Bad Quakers, vocal ministry, Elias Hicks and more!
If you would be interested in presenting something of a Quaker spiritual nature that could be shared with other Friends in our region, please reply to me with the topic and an outline at email@example.com. Presentations should give an overview of the group/workshop, including (if helpful) an example of an exercise but not a full class and should be 10-30 minutes.
If you would like overnight hospitality for Friday 3/4 or Saturday 3/5, please email our Hospitality Coordinator Tim Shaw at firstname.lastname@example.org.
